The Politics of Protesting Gay Marriage in America
In seemingly unending arguments for or against gay marriage in America, we hear continual reverberations of identical redundant and outdated arguments emanating from mouths of our politicians merely towing their party lines; creative thinking doesn’t seem to be involved. A student of United States Constitutional Law, I strongly believe their rhetoric is not what America’s founding fathers’ envisaged.
Instead of old redundant Democratic or Republican justifications for or against legalizing gay marriage in America, I’d like to hear some brave political soul running for public office say something like this for once; it is legally correct.
1) Although I personally don’t believe in gay marriage owing to my personal and/or religious convictions, I am a publically elected official. And as such, I owe it to my constituents to protect their legal political and civic entitlements/rights all American citizens share. This includes both their civil/political and social/economic rights as stated in the full faith and credit clause of US law.
2) Homosexuals are entitled to gay marriage although I personally disagree with the idea because denying them their right thereto is not comparable to denying any one sector of American society say the right to work based on their personal private sexual preferences. If heterosexuals are entitled to unemployment, so are gays. To deny any particular political/civic right to any American citizen based on sexual preference, religion, race and/or creed is unconstitutional; plain and simple.
When Republicans gain the moral courage and political willpower to objectively produce such a speech, they’ll be many times more powerful a political party in America capable of gaining support from the homosexual citizen base in America.

In this day and age it has become increasingly apparent that we will NEVER stop the gay community from growing,,,and growing,,and growing,,And as such we have to learn they are both taxpayers and voters,,and we need all the taxpayers and voters we can get,Im sure these politicains are not checking a sexual preferece card on the voters when they fill out a ballot,,The fact is people think if its not legal it wont exist,,this is WRONG
What is does effect is the gays themselves,,If they are permitted to be a LEGAL couple then they have rights,,rights to death benifits when the partner dies,,what they should live together for years one dies and the FAMILY gets everything the couple worked for??,,,also the raising of the children,,gay couples have kids,,LIKE IT OR NOT,,,they have them,,what when one parent dies they get to uproot that child from the only family they have and send it off to timbucktoo,,nope sorry folks this is dead wrong too,,I am personally straight ,,my choice,,manbe not my choice,,but its who i am,,they are who they are,,NOTHING WILL STOP GAYS FROM BEING GAY but somebody should realize that they live lives daily in fear of losing everything because their union is not ”LEGAL” Its time for us to grow up,,and now there have been instances of gay congressmen and senators,,when are we going to face the facts,,,its all around us,,everybody knows at least one,,even if they are nieve enough to think they dont,,,lol,,they do,,Time for Gays to be free too,,,LIFE LIBERTY AND THE PUSUIT OF HAPPINESS,,well gay marriage is part of that and THAT IS IN OUR CONSTITUTION,,

I meant I don’t see whereby legal governing rules i.e., child custody differs between homosexual marriage and straight marriage except for sexual alllure.

*Dear Wayne: I agree with you. When attending Montclair State
University in Upper Montclair, New Jersey one semester several years
ago, a homosexual faculty member wrote an informative book on the same
theory you explicate. I agree a large majority of homophobia derives
from heterosexual males fearing there own attraction to other men. It
mainly seems heterosexual males comprise the majority of homophobia, not
women in my estimation which I find interesting. After all, in American
culture isn’t it generally more acceptable for women being lesbians than
men being gay (?) I don’t claim being an expert on this topic but this
is most likely owing to the majority of straight men in America ”getting
off” on fantasies of being in bed with two lesbians I think. This is
actually quite an interesting subject for me as a sociologist. I never
really wrote much about it much owing to me having trouble with feminist
professors ironically giving me poor grades because I believed myself in
traditional marriage.

File Type: ImageThe current leader of the free liberal democratic world is clearly dragging his feet on taking decisive action on advocating for fair political/civic gay rights and gay marriage, in America.
America is supposed to be the ’most advanced” ”most liberal” ”most fair” country in the ”free democratic world.”
At least that is what the liberal democrats you voted in office want you to believe; you who lobbied and voted in persons such as Hillary Clinton, President Obama and Joe Biden.
And now they CLEARLY refuse moving forward on gay human rights.
Moreover, they also refuse acting on ensuring, Radovan Karadzic, receives a ”fair trial” after all I have witnessed and said on the issue.
President Obama acts like something, somehow, holds him back from taking action on these important human rights, matters.
President Obama also refuses taking decisive action against the brutal West Milford police associated with the KKK National Alliance that beat my head against a police car over 6 times at my home in West Milford Police in NJ over a decade ago, as well.
President Obama clearly has shown on his true colors insofar as acting on this wide array of important matters pertaining to human rights and American citizens.
Yet, President Obama, clearly manifests, he can take virile potent action on issues he ”genuinely” holds dear like bombing Pakistan, health care ”debating and inaction on the issue,” and a million other important matters he promised us he’d act on once in office.
European countries have moved forward on the gay rights issue years ago making it legal for gays to marry; why not America?
California has reacted by promoting legalizing ”pot” yet voted down ”gay marriage”? RIDICULOUS!
It is time we tell the men and women we voted for they can not wiggle out of their campaign promises!
There is no excuse for our politicians dragging their feet on the gay rights issues in an American secular democratic society in which both, teaching evolution and praying in schools is illegal and unconstitutional because Church and State are supposed to be ”separate.”
It is time the conservative right in America make it clear they understand the US Constitution in principle as well as practice in America.
Now is the time we need new Supreme Court Justice, Sonia Sotormeyer, to clearly manifest she can act on gay human rights by implementing legal policy elucidating America will not tolerate elected officials from either party NOT able to keep their personal religious/moral views separate from their political and civic secular duties.
Now is the time to act on human rights for everyone, particularly those currently oppressed; case in point gays.
Now, not later, is the time for President Obema to show he believes that personal sexual preferences do not interfere with one’s fighting ability in the US Army!

Another argument I’ve heard enough of wihtout resolution lately is the case for or against ‘gay marriage’ in America.
I only hear American politicians “towing their party lines” without much creative thinking involved. This is not what our founding father’s envisaged when instituting the American Constitution in my estimation.
When will I hear a politician of either political party state something akin to:
1) Although I “personally” do not believe in abortion or gay marriage owing to my religious convictions, I do however,
2) have a duty to protect the legal civic entitlements that all American citizens legally enjoy including both their civil/political and socical/economic rights; as stated in the full faith and credit clause of US law,
3) Homosexuals must be entitled to gay marriage even though I personally disagee with the idea. Denying them this legal right is like denying them the right to work or the right to collect unemployment etc.. When will Republicans who I affiliate myeslf with say something like this(?) IN thnis way the Conservatives can also consolidate more political power from the American citizens that are gay.
